TAPE Inc.’s ‘Eat Bulaga! once again asserted its dominance in the noontime television ratings by securing another victory against its rival, E.A.T.
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey report, ‘Eat Bulaga!’ achieved a rating of 4.4 percent on Monday, October 30, surpassing E.A.T. by 0.6 percent, which stood at 3.8 percent.
This marked the third occasion that ‘Eat Bulaga!’ outperformed its competitor, E.A.T., since its debut on July 1.
The initial triumph for ‘Eat Bulaga!’ was recorded on July 19 when it garnered a rating of 4.1 percent compared to E.A.T.’s 3.8 percent. It secured another victory on Tuesday, August 29, achieving a rating of 4.2 percent and holding the 13th position on the ratings chart. In contrast, E.A.T. occupied the 14th position with a rating of 4.1 percent.
The recent upsurge in ‘Eat Bulaga!’s ratings followed the circulation of a viral TikTok video featuring Paolo Contis kissing Arra San Agustin’s forehead.
This particular scene is a glimpse of an upcoming regular segment scheduled to air on Wednesdays and Saturdays, reportedly reminiscent of the beloved ‘KalyeSerye’ style segment that famously introduced the AlDub love team.
Although the video recently gained attention, it swiftly amassed an impressive 1.2 million views, generating significant interest among viewers eager to witness the unfolding story. This surge in online engagement appears to be a key driving factor behind ‘Eat Bulaga’s resurgence in television ratings, enabling it to overtake its competitor, ‘E.A.T.’
