On October 26, actress Lovi Poe highlighted her values in affordable fashion over expensive price tags.
At the media event for her endorsement with the jewelry brand ‘Imono,’ which LionhearTV covered, Poe discussed she would rather wear what she loves instead of concerning herself with expensive fashion pieces.
“There is nothing wrong with it, but let’s not always get carried away by the price tag. Because usually, I see everywhere–is like, ‘How much is this person wearing?’ You always– you know, ‘How much and what kind of signature outfit.'”
“You know, it’s like–let’s slow down and relax and enjoy fashion.”
“And you know, not just fall into the trap of just trying to prove or make a point because you’re always wearing expensive. Always enjoy and make sure that you know– it’s something attainable and affordable, [and] as long as you are happy with what you’re wearing. You should just remember that na parang ‘wag tayong masyadong ma-carried away na always thinking about the price tag. Make sure you love what you’re wearing.”
However, she acknowledged that she appreciates beautiful pieces but maintained how she values simple things, especially in fashion.
“It’s just the world doesn’t revolve around a price tag. We have to remember that. Of course, it’s nice [that] we appreciate all of those things.
“I’m not going to be a hypocrite, I appreciate so many beautiful things. But let’s not make that the main focus of everything di ba? Wag nating kalimutan ‘yung mga simpleng bagay na nagpapasaya sa atin.
“And I think that’s one of the few things–that’s why I always enjoy wearing Imono, because it’s like– it’s something [that] I know that makes me happy na hindi masakit sa bulsa–you know what I mean. So, let’s go back to the simplicity of things.”
