On October 26, internet personality Dr. Dex Macalintal highlighted the difference between social media and mainstream content.
In an exclusive interview with the newest hosts of TV5’s ‘Good Morning Kapatid,’ which LionhearTV covered, Macalintal cited the adjustments he made with the information he was sharing through his segment in the TV5 morning show.
“Nakakapanibago noong una kasi noong una akala ko, sobrang swift, pero no eh, with social media you control your own time. So ikaw kaya mong– I can go on and on for eight minutes, pero here, you have to be very concise, and you have to be very short and concise and then malaman dapat.
He then noted the limitations he put on himself when sharing content through mainstream media.
“So mayroon ding mga content na di mo rin pwedeng sabihin sa TV kasi baka mamaya mapatawag tayo sa principal’s office pero sa social media, you can do almost everything. So ayun kasa-kasama ko din siya.”
Dr. Macalintal discussed his background in family medicine, lifestyle medicine, and nutrition.
“Background ko is family medicine, and I specialize in lifestyle medicine, and sub-subspecialize in nutrition. Kasi ako, I was a registered dietician before I became a doctor.”
He then hinted at what TV5 viewers can expect with his medical and nutrition segment in ‘Good Morning Kapatid.’
