On October 23, actress Dimples Romana recounted meeting ‘One More Chance’ co-stars Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz again.
At the media launch of her skincare line ‘Dreamcake,’ which LionhearTV covered, Romana noted their random reunion, which coincidentally fell into the anniversary of Alonzo and Cruz’s love team.
“Masaya, alam mo, it’s so weird. Kasi, we’re very random, and I haven’t seen John Lloyd in quite a while, and it’s so [nice] because he hugged me very warmly.
“Kasi si Bea lagi naman kami magkasama, but of course, with Iron Heart shooting, tuloy-tuloy, I was unable to be with her for a very long time kasi I was in Iloilo. But it was her birthday, so we were at dinner first, and si sir Carlo had invited us to his place, and we went there, and it was [nice.]
“Ang random talaga, alam mo kung ano ‘yung hindi pina-plano, ‘yun pa ang natutuloy. And coincidentally, anniversary ng love team nila kahapon. Na wala namang may alam sa amin until itong si John Lloyd nagpost ng– di ba bihira siya mag post, so pinost niya kami ni Bea na nakatayo, tapos sabi niya panalo.”
She also noted her excitement about the Philippine Educational Theater Association’s (PETA) plan of doing a ‘One More Chance’ musical.
“Alam mo naman ‘yung dalawang ‘yun, parang ewan ko, alam mo ‘yung pelikulang past lives ba ‘yun. So ‘yung mga fans, may mga ganong laro sa isip. So of course, ako din as Krizzy of Popoy and Basha of ‘One More Chance,’ I always have that fangiriling pa rin sa kanilang dalawa.
“Tapos sakto pa, this isn’t even a paid advertisement. I saw it–PETA that they’re actually doing ‘One More Chance’ with Ben&Ben Music, April 2024 ba, and ako pa ata nagsabi noon kay Bea, ‘Bea, Oh my God, did you see? They’re actually doing One More Chance.’ And we’re all excited–it’s just a classic icon.”
As for her reunion with her ‘One More Chance’ co-stars, she described it as a ‘kulitan-filled’ moment.
“It was all parang a casual conversation, at tsaka kulitan, tsaka kulitan, kiligan, kulitan.”
Romana starred in the 2007 romantic film with Alonzo and Cruz.
As for her skincare line, Romana, as a co-founder, takes a dreamy leap toward beauty innovation with her dream project, Dreamcake.
