Ricci Rivero, a popular Filipino athlete, has recently made some candid revelations about his past relationship with actress Andrea Brillantes.
In a text message sent to ‘Marites University’ show, Ricci disclosed that he and Andrea had broken up on May 6, 2023. He also mentioned that he met Leren Mae Bautista on May 26, 2023, and emphasized that the councilor had no involvement as a third party in their separation.
According to Ricci, their relationship had experienced several ups and downs, leading to a complicated situation. Andrea, he claimed, had visited his condominium on multiple occasions in the early hours of the morning in an attempt to reconcile. However, he firmly expressed his disinterest in getting back together.
“Pumupunta siya ng condo ko nang madaling-araw ilang beses for what? Para makipagbalikan. Nag-yes ba ako? Hindi, kasi ayoko na and sinabi ko ‘yan sa kanya paulit-ulit so I am the bad person here for not publicly telling everyone that I am single. She asked me not to let people know muna kasi baka masira ang image niya tapos nung hindi ako pumayag makipagbalikan, sisiraan na ako bigla.”
In a message directed to DJ Jhaiho, Ricci clarified the events surrounding his breakup with Andrea. He also highlighted his reluctance to publicly declare his single status and mentioned Andrea’s request to keep their breakup under wraps temporarily to avoid harming her public image.
Nevertheless, when he refused to rekindle their relationship, Ricci alleged that Andrea and her associates had initiated attempts to tarnish his reputation.
He further clarified that Leren Mae’s involvement in his life had occurred after he and Andrea had already ended their romantic connection.
Ricci also responded to comments from Bea Borres, a friend of Andrea Brillantes, who seemed to have implied that Ricci was keeping a secret until the “hard launch” of his new relationship.
This insinuation prompted a heated exchange on social media.
