On October 4, Kapamilya artist Albie Casiño remarked that men should not go on dates if they don’t have the money.
At the media event for ‘Can’t Buy Me Love,’ which LionhearTV covered, Casiño voiced his opinion about dating, citing that men should pay for dates when they ask out women.
“As a man, I don’t think you should date if you don’t have the funds. Pero personal opinion ko lang ‘yun.
“Kasi di ba, a man is supposed to provide for that. So if you go out with a girl, if you ask her out. I feel like you should pay.”
Aside from his views about dating, Casiño also talked about his role in the upcoming series.
“I play Charleston Tiu, ako po ang panganay, and heir ni– in Chinese culture po kasi, [it’s always the oldest son] who inherits the–kung ano ‘yung pamana. As of right now, ‘yun po ang position ko dito. But ‘yung character ko naman is very different sa character ni Joao. Actually, complete opposite, siya.”
He then noted his character’s motivation and storyline in the series.
“If he’s fighting for the chance to be part of the company, I’m fighting to show my daddy than I’m better than him. So parang hindi masyadong maganda ‘yung relationship namin as father and son. And my character is very calculated. He’s cold blooded. Kahit hindi masyadong maganda ‘yung kailangan niyang gawin, he will do it for the end cause. Pero, I’m happy to say naman na matutuwa sa akin ‘yung Bubblies.”
As for their series, ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ stars Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano with Nova Villa, Rowell Santiago, Agot Isidro, and Ruffa Gutierrez.
The cast also features Darren Espanto, Chie Filomeno, Anthony Jennings, Maris Racal, Kaila Estrada, Albie Casiño, Joao Constancia, Ketchup Eusebio, Vivoree Esclito, Karino Bautista, Alora Samsam, and Hyubs Azarcon.
