On September 28, Kapamilya stars Richard Gutierrez and Jake Cuenca highlighted the increase in TV ratings of ‘The Iron Heart.’
At the media conference for the finale of ‘The Iron Heart,’ which LionhearTV covered, Gutierrez remarked that he was happy and proud of the success of their series.
“Siyempre, we’re very happy, we’re very proud na tumagal ng ganito katagal ang The Iron Heart and until now, patuloy pa rin ang pagtaas ng ratings, patuloy pa rin ang pagsubaybay ng mga manonood, at parang lalo pang tumataas ang rating ngayon.”
Cuenca noted how their series climbed in ratings from their humble start.
“Sobrang nakakatuwa kasi ‘yun talaga ‘yung parang ano– we really started talaga– we got a humble start. You know, we climbed, nag-climb ng nag-climb ‘yung show.”
Gutierrez echoed Cuenca’s sentiments about their series’ uphill battle and how they overcame it.
“But yeah, we are [very] happy, and [very] proud, and [very] humbled sa project na ‘to. [Like,] what Jake said nga, we started an uphill battle–kami sa simula. And against all odds, nandito kami ngayon, ina-announce ang finale namin after a few weeks. After one year of doing this project. And like what you said, lalo pang tumataas ang ratings and views.”\
Cuenca said he felt proud seeing their concurrent views rise.
“So parang kada tuwing makikita ko ‘yung post na tumaas ‘yung rating, tumaas ‘yung concurrent views, nakaka-proud, kasi we really worked hard for this talaga. From the start, sabi ko nga, I just had a meeting with ano kila Tita Cory, she’s so proud of the show, na tumagal din siya ng ganito.”
‘The Iron Heart’ logged record-breaking viewership multiple times in September, especially when the series reached 451,538 peak concurrent viewers. The Kapamilya action series also secured 8.1% TV ratings based on the recent NUTAM survey.
Gutierrez thanked everyone who supported their series as they ended on a high note.
“So salamat sa lahat ng support ng manonood natin, sa support ng media, support ng ABS-CBN, ng Star Creatives, and of course, I want to congratulate everybody at lahat ng kasama kong artista and of course, directors, and producers. We all worked hard for this–and we’re happy to announce that we are ending The Iron Heart on a high note.”
