The Kapamilya TV host-comedian assured a widowed player that the time for healing from the pain caused by her husband’s demise, is just around the corner.
Vice Ganda’s comforting message to an Everybody Sing player who lost her husband, touched many televiewers of the top rating Kapamilya game show’s September 23 episode.
During the AB-Sing round of the program, which entails players to guess the missing lyrics of the song being performed by the band, Paula, a pawnshop and money remittance teller, failed to manage her emotions and cried during the game. The song Kabilang Buhay by Bandang Lapis, was notably the song being performed by the show’s resident band, Six Part Invention.
Vice Ganda, noticing Paula becoming emotional, cut the segment short and decided to ask the player if she was doing okay.
“Noong nawala ‘yung husband ko, umiiyak tuwing naririnig ko yan, “ she told Vice, informing the real reason behind her tears: that she got widowed and that song, Kabilang Buhay, always reminds her of her late husband.
Asked if she was already feeling well, “it’s a heavy question, ” she replies.
Vice Ganda, who is known to be someone who always has something encouraging to say, did not waste a moment to comfort Paula.
“I hope you will feel better tomorrow and sa mga susunod pang araw. Everyday we try to get better ” the Kapamilya TV host told Paula.
“Tomorrow, ask yourself: ‘Am I (feeling) better today?’. If not, the next day, we’ll try to be better. I wish you well, “ Vice added.
This is not the first time Vice Ganda offered positive encouragement to people going through tough times, as he has repeatedly done so in many of his shows. Early this month, he told a single mother on It’s Showtime to deal with life’s adversities with grit to survive, noting how people are naturally cruel with each other.
