In the face of ongoing controversies, Vice Ganda has found an unexpected ally in the form of Senator Raffy Tulfo, who has reportedly voiced his support for the comedian.
During the September 15 episode of the program ‘Cristy Ferminute,’ host Romel Chika revealed statements attributed to Senator Tulfo regarding his friend Vice Ganda.
Cristy Fermin, on the same program, concurred with Tulfo’s stance, highlighting the significance of entrusting the matter to the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB). She emphasized that Senator Tulfo, as a member of the Senate, acknowledged that the MTRCB was specifically designated by the President to oversee issues related to decency, appropriateness, and the protection of children.
This development arises following the MTRCB’s imposition of a 12-day suspension on the television program “It’s Showtime” in response to an incident involving Vice Ganda and Ion Perez.
The incident occurred during a cake-eating segment called “Isip Bata” on July 25, 2023. Additionally, a group of individuals identifying themselves as social media broadcasters has filed cybercrime-related charges against Vice Ganda and Ion Perez in connection with the same incident.
