On August 30, GMA Network Senior VP for Entertainment Group Lilybeth Rasonable revealed that they began conceptualizing ‘Maging Sino Ka Man’ for Barbie Forteza and David Licauco during ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra.’
At the media conference for ‘Maging Sino Ka Man,’ which LionhearTV covered, Rasonable explained that they saw the success of the ‘BarDa’ (Barbie and David) love team during the highly successful Kapuso fantasy drama.
“Nung tumatakbo talaga ‘yung Maria Clara at Ibarra and their team up was already really picking up on social media, from there, nag-isip na kami na this deserve a follow up.”
Forteza appreciated the opportunities she and Licauco received after the success of their pairing in ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra.’
“Anong reaction namin? Siyempre ano, tuwang-tuwa kami ni David kasi– or ako personally, punong-puno na ako ng– umeere pa lang po ang Maria Clara at Ibarra, eh kumbaga napansin kami ng mga boss, and they’re already thinking of a new project na para sa amin bilang artista, sobrang fulfilling ‘yung siyempre.
“And kami naman po in return ay gagawin namin ‘yung best namin para mapaganda ‘yung serye namin.”
Licauco remarked that he didn’t expect the success of their pairing and the opportunities that came after their stint in the Kapuso fantasy drama.
“Of course, [super] happy and blessed, super grateful sa opportunity. Hindi ko ine-expect ang lahat ng ‘to. Hindi ko in-expect or even dream na maging isang artista. For me, at that time, it was only basketball or business. So, to be in this position is such an honor. And I want to say to GMA–thank you for believing in me.”
As for their series, ‘Maging Sino Ka Man’ stars Barbie Forteza and David Licauco.

Under the direction of Enzo Williams, ‘Maging Sino Ka Man’ airs on GMA Telebabad starting September 11.
