On August 26, artist Marlo Mortel addressed the malicious anonymous post about him.Â
At the ‘Diamond Gala’ event for Kumu’s 5th anniversary, which LionhearTV covered, Mortel revealed that they have already traced the person who posted an ‘open letter’ accusing him of seducing another man.
He clarified that he didn’t mind the post since it was fake news, but he would still take legal action against the netizen.
So nasabi ko i-count.”
He surmised that the netizen who posted about him wanted to smear his reputation as a public figure.
“Well, I guess gusto nila akong siraan, pero wala, wala na ‘yun.Â
“No, kaya nga, kaya nga on the process kami kung sino siya.
The post from August 15 accused Mortel of seducing their partner and came from an account under Yuki Zaragosa.
He then shared advice to netizens about fact-checking posts online before sharing them.
As for the event, KUMUnity influencers came together to celebrate KUMU’s 5th anniversary at the ‘Diamond Gala.’
