On August 17, comedian Jose Manalo acknowledged the challenge of pranking E.A.T host-comedian Joey De Leon.
At the media conference for ‘Wow Mali, Doble Tama,’ which LionhearTV covered, Manalo joked that he would be open to pranking the former ‘Wow Mali’ host despite the possibility of them getting fired from their jobs in E.A.T.
“Oo bakit hindi pero malaking challenge ‘yun. Darating ‘yan sa dalawa, ‘yung matanggal kami sa trabaho.”
He clarified that the entire E.A.T family wasn’t oversensitive when getting pranked.
“Pero hindi okay lang naman, sa grupo namin, o sa E.A.T., masaya kami, kahit sinong i-prank namin pwede. Wala naman problema.”
Manalo then shared his dream of pranking other comedians through their TV5 prank show.
“Siyempre kung sino ‘yung mga favorite natin dito. Kung sino ‘yung mga matataas na tao na hindi– mas masarap ‘yung ano eh, ‘yung medyo komedyante rin para mas maramdaman nila. Kasi kung ipa-prank natin ay kilala, seryoso, makikita lang natin ‘yung reaction niya, magugulat siya. Pero, kapwa namin komedyante, so parang makikita namin na nakaka-challenge kasi kung magagawa namin.”
He also revealed their plans to travel to other parts of the Philippines in future seasons to prank people.
“Kasama sa plano. So, dito muna tayo sa Quezon City, tapos palayo ng palayo ‘yun hanggang sa hindi ninyo na kami makita.”
The new version of the TV5 prank show, ‘Wow Mali, Doble Tama,’Â hosted by Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola, airs on August 26 at 6:15 PM on TV5 and 7:00 PM on Buko Channel, with new episodes every Saturday.
