On August 10, former Magic 89.9 radio DJ and Vivamax star Millen Gal narrated her showbiz journey and how she landed her role in ‘Kahalili.’

At the media conference for ‘Kahalili,’ which LionhearTV covered, Gal recalled how she signed with Viva after her four-year-stint with Magic 89.9.

“I play Isabel Del Gado in Direk Bobby’s Kahalili on Vivamax. I started with Viva, I think, a year ago lang. Before that, I did a pageant, and I worked in a radio station for four years, and this is my most challenging role yet.

“Yes, for Magic 89.9.

“Well, because of Tita Aster Amoyo, my mom is friends with her, so pinasok kami ng mom ko ni Tita Aster.”

She then talked about working with their director Bobby Bonifacio Jr.

“It’s great! Direk Bobby, I’ve already worked with him last year, December, for Salamat Daks, and I’ve told him [that] I wanted to work with Sid. And then– he [made] this project for us to work together. So I’m really grateful to Direk Bobby.”

She also noted how her co-star Sid Lucero guided her with their scenes.

“Honestly, it was very easy because, Timmy (Sid) that’s he’s real name, guided me all through out and I’m very comfortable with him so I did my best. And tsaka siyempre nakaka-pressure kapag magaling ‘yung kasama mo kaya kailangan galingan mo din di ba?”

As for their upcoming film, ‘Kahalili’ stars Stephanie Raz, Mercedes Cabral, Lucero, Gal, and Victor Relosa.

Under the direction of Bobby Bonifacio Jr, ‘Kahalili’ streams via the Vivamax app starting on August 18.
