Vhong Navarro’s newest comedy movie “Mang Kepweng Returns” has reached almost ₱10 million on its opening day in cinemas nationwide on January 4, revealed by Lady de Guzman of CineKo, one of the producers of the movie.
“Okay na po ba ‘yun? Kasi, masaya na kami diyan at tuluy-tuloy pa siyang malakas,” she asked the press about their first day gross.
Vhong plays the titular character who gets the kerchief and powers of Mang Kepwng, a quack doctor, originally portrayed by the late comedian Chiquito in 1979.
Directed by GB Sampedro, “Mang Kepweng Returns” also features Jaclyn Jose, Valeen Montenegro and Kim Domingo.
