On August 1, actor Kiko Estrada admitted he is ‘not smart’ in love.
At the media event for ‘Kung Di Lang Tayo Sumuko,’ which LionhearTV covered, Estrada confessed that he makes mistakes in relationships.
“Siguro gusto lang natin, maging matalino naman sana. Pero nagkamali eh. So, nagkakamali naman tayo eh, tao lang lang tayo lahat. Learning, so pero I can’t say I’m really smart with love. Sometimes puro puso na lang.”
He then shared his views on how to make up for mistakes.
“Sa akin talaga, it’s okay to make a mistake. Pero when you make a mistake, own up to it, put your head down, get to work, and do whatever it is to get what you want. And that’s what I stick by– that’s a hundred (percent).”
As for his role in the series, Estrada cited the lesson his character offers to the audience.
“So that’s the goal of the character– I have to look sincere and charming, and accept all the blame, and get slapped in the face, but it’s real life people make mistakes, it’s okay to make mistakes. But the main — important lesson there is to own up to it and do what’s right. In Derick’s case, by his family.”
He then considered the role in the upcoming romantic drama as a blessing.
“Actually, this is a blessing, this series, ngayon lang ako ulit nag-drama eh. So who– better partner doing it? So yeah, I’m blessed. So yeah, I liked the project– it’s just really refreshing.”
However, he hoped to get happier-themed projects in the future.
“Not so much drama next time though, siguro like more happy, more happy, nadalawang sampal ako dito, ay apat ba ata.”
‘Kung Di Lang Tayo Sumuko’ stars Carlo Aquino, Coleen Garcia, Ponce, Escaño, Ryza Cenon, and Kiko Estrada.
The upcoming Viva One series came from the best-selling novel by Marcelo Santos III.
Under the direction of Carlo Enciso Catu, the romantic drama streams via Viva One starting August 21.
