Marked by first-time film producer Roy C. Gomez of RC Gomez Entertainment Productions, an actor he referred to as “arrogant” will never be considered for any of his movies.
During the mediacon on July 30 for the very first self-produced movie titled “The Special Gift,” directed by Lawrence Roxas, RCG recounted an encounter with an actor from a time before he started producing films.
The experience with the actor, whom he chose not to name, was not a pleasant one. He shared that he was given orders and treated inappropriately by the actor.
Even after explaining his position in life to the actor, the latter showed no regard and treated him like one of the staff members. Gomez expressed his annoyance, saying, “Siguro dahil simple lang ang suot ako, kaya akala n’ya basta-basta lang tayo. Inutusan nya ako. Sobra rin siyang mag-utos sa mga staff na akala mo kung sino.”
This incident left RCG frustrated, and he made a promise to himself that when he produces films, he will not consider hiring the “arrogant” actor.
On another note, “The Special Gift” is a family drama that revolves around a young boy with a slight form of autism. It stars child actor Franchesco “Choko” Maafi alongside Soliman Cruz, Mike Lloren, Malou Canzana, Migui Moreno, Ella Sheen, BJ Forbes, Romina Cauilan, and Angelo Gomez.
