On July 22, Viva artists Heaven Peralejo and Marco Gallo discussed how they grew closer while working on their latest Viva Films movie, ‘The Ship Show.’
At the media conference for ‘The Ship Show,’ which LionhearTV covered, Peralejo felt grateful working with Gallo in their latest shows and movies.
“Working with Marco again, of course sobrang thankful kasi ‘yung– masaya lang talaga, masaya lang ako working alongside him. And so, I’m grateful to have this project and also, mas naging close kami. Halos everyday kaming magkasama. Kasi aside from ‘yung Ship Show, we we’re promoting The Rain in España so halos everyday na. And nakakatuwa kasi maganda ‘yung relationship namin sa isa’t isa.”
Gallo recounted how Peralejo helped him when he was feeling anxious about his portrayal for his role in ‘The Ship Show.’
“Tapos mayroon isang time po na parang nag–hindi naman sa nagwawala, anong tawag doon, parang getting annoyed– so mayroong– yeah I was having an anxiety attack tapos hindi po siya lumalabas. And I discovered na–I already knew na magaling siya na actress, and so I was learning from her, she was guiding me to it, to this scene na hindi ko magawa. And she really helped me out.
“And I’m super grateful for that–getting that from your partner as well is something to be grateful about.”
He also talked about how their director, Jason Paul Laxamana, gave them creative freedom as artists.
“I think, one thing that I discovered sa pelikula na ‘to, is the fact na– sa ngayon kasi parang medyo sobrang focused namin sa lahat ng mga roles namin. Si Direk gina-guide talaga namin– so si Direk Jason Paul naman, ano po siya very hinahayaan lang kami. So kami, ang dami naming practice kahit nasa set, hinihintay lang namin matapos ‘yung sa set.”
As for their upcoming film, ‘The Ship Show’ stars Gallo, Peralejo, Rabin Angeles, Bianca Santos, PJ Rosario, Angelic Guzman, Janine Teñoso, Migo Valid, Madeleine Red, Martin Venegas, Ashtine Olviga, and Tomas Rodriguez.
The Viva Films movie, under the direction of Jason Paul Laxamana, opens in cinemas starting August 9.
