On July 4, newcomer Ashley Diaz who is also the daughter of actor Joko Diaz detailed her creepy experience on the set of her film ‘Mary Cherry Chua.’
At the media conference for ‘Mary Cherry Chua,’ the younger Diaz narrated how she had goosebumps working on the set of the upcoming film where she plays the lead role.
“Ano for me po, kasi sa shoot, siyempre ginagabi, and ‘yung CR kasi outside the building. So ‘yung sa standby area namin, mayroon siya sa likod tapos nandoon ‘yung CR.
“Tapos walang ilaw. Madilim siya. Tapos may dalawa pong daan doon, papunta doon, so doon sa isang daan there, parang medyo super dark, dark lang, tapos ‘yung isa dark lang, tapos ‘yung isa super dark. Doon ako dumaan one time, alam mo ‘yung feeling na kilabot, ganon parang biglang tumaas ‘yung balahibo ko.”
She admittedly felt terrified of their scenes in the Viva horror movie.
“Nakakatakot ‘yung scenes, siguro sa pagbibida ng pelikula, more on excitement siya for me, pero natatakot rin ako kahit noong una pa lang, kasi siyempre horror movie siya. So in-expect ko na nakakatakot ‘yung scenes, so medyo may preparations, pero mas natatakot pa rin talaga ako sa scenes ng movie na ‘to kaysa sa fact na bibida ako.”
Aside from her creepy experience on the movie set, she also recounted her paranormal experience in her Catholic school.
“The scariest experience for me na paranormal, kasi before, I used to go to a Catholic school na we;re headed by mga nuns. Old school na siya. Like umabot na siya ng like 100-something years. So, before–part ako ng theater group.
“And then ginagabi kami sa school, and siyempre, kwento-kwento ng mga org mates ko na mayroon nga daw nagpaparamdam na bata, mayroon din matanda na nun. Pero, may one time na nakita kong may floating something sa balcony ng auditorium namin. Siguro ‘yun na ‘yung scary encounter ko in real life.”
‘Mary Cherry Chua’ stars Diaz, Joko Diaz, Alma Moreno, Kokoy De Santos, Lyca Gairanod, Abby Bautista, and Krissha Viaje.
Under the direction of Roni S. Benaid, the Viva Films horror movie opens in cinemas starting July 19.
