The competition between Kapamilya noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ and TAPE Inc. and GMA Network’s revamped ‘Eat Bulaga!’ remains tight in the ratings battle.
According to the latest rating reports from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, ‘It’s Showtime’ and ‘Eat Bulaga!’ consistently garnered close rating margins from June 26 to June 30.
On Monday, June 26, ‘It’s Showtime’ secured a win against ‘Eat Bulaga!’ with a rating of 3.9 percent, edging out its rival by 0.1 percent, as ‘Eat Bulaga!’ achieved a rating of 3.8 percent.
Tuesday, June 27, witnessed the revamped ‘Eat Bulaga!’ making a comeback and surpassing ‘It’s Showtime’ with a rating of 3.9 percent compared to the 3.4 percent of ‘It’s Showtime.’
The winning streak continued for ‘Eat Bulaga!’ on Wednesday, June 28, as it obtained a rating of 4.5 percent, surpassing ‘It’s Showtime’ which got 4.0 percent.
Thursday, June 29, saw ‘Eat Bulaga!’ winning with a rating of 4.1 percent and holding a 0.7 percent lead over ‘It’s Showtime’ which got 3.4 percent.
On Friday, June 30, the rebranded Kapuso noontime show further extended its lead to 0.9 percent, achieving a rating of 4.4 percent against ‘It’s Showtime’ which registered 3.4 percent.
These numbers were before the highly anticipated return of TVJ in the noontime slot via TV5 and the entry of ‘It’s Showtime’ into GTV programming.
