During the Grand Media Conference for ‘Royal Blood’ on June 19, real-life couple Mikael Daez and Megan Young discussed the stark differences between their characters on the hit murder-mystery drama series and their actual personalities as husband and wife.
Megan highlighted the stark contrast, saying, “In real life, Mikael and I are completely different from Kristoff and Diana, our characters in ‘Royal Blood.’ What you see in the show doesn’t reflect who we are as individuals. Our characters harbor deep dark secrets that they refuse to disclose to others.”
Mikael chimed in, expressing his enjoyment in working on the show with the entire cast. He specifically mentioned the unique dynamics he shares with Megan, or rather, Diana, their characters in the series.
The show being a murder-mystery adds to their excitement. Mikael mentioned that this is his first time being part of such production, and the process of discovering their characters and unraveling the mysteries differs greatly from other genres because the actors themselves are unaware of who the killer is.
He continued, “It’s an adventurous journey filled with fun and fulfillment. Megan and I particularly relish the opportunity to explore a dynamic that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. It’s an incredibly enjoyable experience for us.”
In ‘Royal Blood,’ Mikael and Megan portray Kristoff and Diana, a married couple with a son named Archie Royales who is autistic. Kristoff is one of the children of business tycoon Gustavo Royales (played by Tirso Cruz III) and the half-brother of Napoy (portrayed by Dingdong Dantes).
Catch Mikael and Megan in the thrilling ‘Royal Blood’ every Monday to Friday at 8:50 p.m. on GMA Telebabad.
