Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano, popularly known as LizQuen, were recently seen together at a friend’s engagement party, dispelling rumors of break-up as claimed by Soberano’s former manager Ogie Diaz.
On June 17, several photos started circulating online showing the couple at the engagement celebration of their friend Noele. This comes in contrast to the claim made by Diaz in his Showbiz News vlog on May 30, where he stated that the two had already ended their relationship.

Notably, Diaz had mentioned that the alleged split between Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano stemmed from Soberano’s previous interviews where she did not mention Gil’s name.

He also thought that her reluctance to publicly acknowledge their love team may have caused doubts about their relationship.
“Actually, nakarating din sa’kin ‘yan na split na o break na sina Enrique Gil at Liza Soberano. Parang nag-ugat ito sa mga pronouncement o naging statement o mga nakaraang interviews ni Liza, never niyang binanggit si Enrique Gil,…”
“Tapos ‘yung parang hindi pa siya pabor sa mga pagtatatag ng love team kaya nagkaroon ng agam-agam na baka nga wala na sila kasi una, hindi niya pinagmamalaki ang boyfriend, kasi kung ano magpo-post ‘yan si Liza,” Diaz said.
However, Soberano’s father expressed his disagreement to Diaz’s claim via a Facebook post on May 31, stating that it lacks evidence and that many vloggers tend to speculate without any solid facts.
“Kaya dumadami taong nagvavlog, dami mga oto-oto maski Wala Naman hard facts pinapatulan,” John wrote.
The initial announcement by Diaz had shocked and alarmed fans but based on the post of Soberano’s father and the subsequent photos of the couple, it looks like the break-up rumors were unfounded.
While Soberano and Gil have chosen not to release any official statements regarding their relationship status, fans of LizQuen can now breathe a sigh of relief as the recent photos indicate that no break-up has occurred.
Soberano and Gil were first seen together on big screen via the film ‘Must Be Love’ in 2013. Soberano has achieved success as an actress, model, and endorser since then; Gil has likewise enjoyed a successful showbiz career. Both have recently started going solo and working on their respective careers.
