On June 15, TV5 Chairman Manny Pangilinan admitted prioritizing Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon for the noontime slot over ‘It’s Showtime.’
In a recent interview with Bilyonaryo, MVP confirmed that the block time arrangement for the noontime slot between TV5 and the Kapamilya show is already about to end.
He then revealed their offer of providing a different timeslot for the Kapamilya noontime show, citing their commitment to TVJ for the lunchtime spot.
“We’re open to their schedule, and we are coordinating with ABS-CBN. I believe that TV5 is committed to TVJ for the noontime slot, so it’s either them or Showtime unless ABS-CBN is willing to move to another time slot which we are prepared to give to them, but it’s up to them, not up to us.”
Earlier, netizens expressed their hopes of seeing TVJ’s new noontime show and It’s Showtime under a back-to-back timeslot with TVJ leading the way.
Earlier, Mediaquest Holdings Inc. confirmed that they came to an agreement with TVJ and the Dabarkads host about producing content for TV5 and other Mediaquest platforms.
As of this writing, ABS-CBN has already confirmed that ‘It’s Showtime’ will air on GMA Network’s GTV starting July 1.
