Pinoy Interactive Entertainment or PIE’s first-anniversary celebration continues with more fun, prizes, and surprises for its fans and followersf, who are fondly called KatroPIES, through the recently-concluded PIEsta PIEnalo Grand Mall Show.
Held at the Trinoma Activity Center last Saturday, June 3, the whole-day event showcased PIE’s new shows, provided live entertainment via the channel’s jocks, and launched the Pindot PIEnalo campaign to the public.
Jolina Magdangal of Sinong Manok Mo?, Melai Cantiveros and Jennica Garcia of Ur Da Boss, Vivoree of Pak na Pak; and Jameson Blake and Karina Bautista of The Chosen One: Chugi Night were among the PIE jocks in attendance, treating the audience to performances in between experiential activities that spanned from afternoon to early evening.
Adding to the fun were PIE Jocks Sheena Belarmino, Gello Marquez, and Aljon Mendoza of Pak na Pak, Ralph Malibunas of Sinong Manok Mo?, Gillian Vicencio and Maxine Trinidad of The Chosen One: Kakatacute; and Zach Guerrero and Seham Daghlas of Para sa All.
Nicki Morena and Kevin Montillano of Matching Matching and Shoutout TV hosted the show which also doubled as the launch of the Pindot PIEnalo engagement program, an exclusive for registered users of PIE.com.ph. KatroPIEs that accumulate the most points by registering, referring new users, and interacting in the channel’s programs and at events can win as much as ₱50,000. The promo’s anniversary run is from May 23 to June 21, 2023. Winners will be announced on June 23.
During registration, KatroPIEs were instructed to have their PIEsta PIEnalo PIEssports stamped as they try out familiar game booth versions of PIE’s programs. Fans were treated to a photo booth with various situations, aligned with Ogie Diaz’s show Kung Saka-Sakali. Shows such as Matching Matching, Sinong Manok Mo, and Ur Da Boss had KatroPIEs bowling, knocking down a stack of cups, tossing rings, and shooting balls into buckets. Youth-oriented show Para Sa All set up a freedom wall, while Angeline Quinto’s The Chosen One: Kakatacute provided refreshments in cups that also doubled as ballots, determining who KatroPIES feel should get the chop on the next TCO: Chugi Night. KatroPIEs with filled-up PIEsta PIEnalo PIEssports qualified for the day’s raffle.
“We wanted to extend the celebration of PIE’s first anniversary to our KatroPIEs by assembling them on this special day. The idea was to provide them with opportunities to see and bond with PIE jocks, enjoy themselves at the program booths, earn points, and win prizes—and essentially make the channel come alive. We really mean it when we say that with PIE, ‘Pindot PIEnalo ka dahil kada pindot, PIEnalo ka more,’” says Alex Asuncion, Channel Head of PIE.
Jil Go, Kroma Entertainment’s Head of Broadcast, adds, “we would love for everyone to get the total Pindot PIEnalo experience – not just by engaging KatroPIES on TV and digital but also by having physical events such as this. Before today’s big show, we have been visiting barangays via PIE-sta on Wheels and have been engaging fans with PIE Jock visits, treats, and surprises. The fun won’t end today—there will be more barangay activities, mall shows, and other events in the days to come and a lot more to look forward to on TV and on digital.”
