Mocha Uson posted a photo of her with politician Tito Sotto on facebook, with a caption expressing her thoughts in (Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon) TVJ’s resignation from TAPE Inc., on June 1.
She said that she holds attachment to the noontime show making the current situation sad for the blogger.
Uson wrote: “Having grown up with Eat Bulaga, I feel a profound sense of sadness regarding their recent circumstances. Eat Bulaga goes beyond mere entertainment; it offers valuable lessons.”
She further added that the show’s hosts became a source of inspiration and knowledge for her as a former entertainer.
However, she continued that she is also at peace now that the hosts are no longer “taken for granted”. This is in light of the possible internal strife that happened between TVJ and TAPE Inc.’s new management after the production company did not permit them to air Eat Bulaga! live on May 31.
She remarked, “This fresh start signifies renewed happiness and hope, not just for them but also for us, the viewers.”
Uson is determined that the show and its hosts will become even better in their new-found freedom.
Uson started her career in the entertainment world as a solo singer-dancer in bars that was prized for her sexy image. She later on became the rock band, Mocha with Spin Art‘s lead vocalist. She was also the co-founder and original member of Mocha Girls, a singing-dancing girl group in the country.
The blogger also starred in different films such as Sumpa and Seksing Masahista among others.
Currently, she is known for her blogs that initially provided sexual advices and other alluring content. Her blogs shifted from sexuality to politics after she actively supported former President Rodrigo Duterte in the 2016 Presidential Elections.
She was granted a seat in the government after she was appointed as assistant secretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) and deputy executive director of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) by then-President Duterte.
