It seems the issue with ‘Eat Bulaga!’s internal conflict hasn’t been resolved yet.
Rumors circulated that the country’s longest-running noontime show might still transfer to another network this year.
According to the veteran showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin in her Youtube channel Showbiz Now Na, published on May 22, a “heavyweight” producer is reportedly ready to join Tito, Vic, and Joey and take over Eat Bulaga! Should they switch TV networks? Moreover, there are other producers who have also shown interest in collaborating with them.
Tito Sotto and an unknown producer allegedly had a “secret meeting” to discuss a potential move.
“Meron pong nakarating sa amin at ito po ay talagang reliable source na nagkakaroon po ng mga secret meeting.
“Parang tatlo na po ang sinasabing magme-merge ngayon para kung makapagdesisyon ang Tito, Vic, and Joey na lilipat sila ng channel, itong tatlong malalaking producers na ito ang magsasama-sama para itawid sa atin ang bagong ‘Eat Bulaga!,’ Fermin shared.
There has allegedly also been a meeting with the hosts and staff to determine who would join if TVJ transferred. And reportedly, everyone asked is willing to join TVJ, including the production team, which is fully on board with the channel switch.
“Nag-ano na pala, nag-headcount. Talaga raw tinanong na, ‘Sasama ba kayo?’ ‘Maiiwan kayo? … Tinanong ko nga ‘yung source ko, ano talaga? ‘Lilipat, napakabilis ng sagot, lilipat,’” the columnist-content creator added.
Meanwhile, amidst these rumors, news surfaced that Willie Revillame might return to the GMA Network with his variety show ‘Wowowin.’ This comes after his contract with ALLTV was terminated. Furthermore, Willie will make a major announcement this June.
Tito, Vic, and Joey, however, have yet to make statements. Likewise, TAPE Inc. and GMA Network have yet to release an official statement regarding the matter.
