After months of waiting, BB Gandanghari, formerly Rustom Padilla, embraced the “beginning of her forever.”
The proud Filipina transgender is now officially named BB Gandanghari and is legally acknowledged as a woman in the United States.
On Instagram, she posted: “This is it! And I thought this day would never come. And I thank my GOD and my LORD for making these things happen. Everything makes sense now… and to this great country the United States of America for providing this #basicrhumanright… Thank you!!! 🙏👏💁 #officiallyBBlegallyGandanghari”
Just yesterday, she posted a photo of Rustom Padilla and BB. Gandanghari and captioned it with: “On November 16, 2016, the superior court of Orange County has decreed, set in stone if I may say so, that BINIBINI GANDANGHARI, a resident of the United States of America is LEGALLY and OFFICIALLY Female. Praise be to my GOD whose guidance I have sought and still seeking as I go thru my transition. GOODBYE RUSTOM, my former self and my soulmate. You may rest now. And HELLO BB. Welcome to the world!
