“Asia’s Songbird” Regine Velasquez was one of the special guests at Sarah Geronimo’s sold-out 20th-anniversary concert on May 12, at the Araneta Coliseum.
Sarah Geronimo, a Filipino singer, performer, and actress, considers Velaquez’ participation in her 20th anniversary concert significant because she has played a significant role in her entertainment career.
Velasquez hosted ‘Star for a Night,’ a singing contest on Viva Television from March 2002 to March 2003.
After their duet, Regine Velasquez shared that she was also a guest of Sarah Geronimo in her first concert at the Araneta Coliseum back in 2005. She expressed her happiness for her fellow singer’s 20 years of success.
“Ikaw ibinigay din sa amin ni Lord,” she said.
Velasquez followed her message to Geronimo with a playful remark, surprising the latter as she is conservative.
Nakakaloka!“
“Oo landian nang… Hindi ka na virgin?” Velaquez jokingly asked the fellow singer.
Sarah Geronimo laughed and embraced Velasquez, while the audience inside the Araneta Coliseum cheered.
