The series will mark the homegrown Kapuso actress’s second TV series with ABS-CBN, after 2021’s ‘Marry Me, Marry You.’
Just a few months after confirming her Kapuso comeback via the primetime series ‘Mga Lihim Ni Urduja’, Sunshine Dizon is gearing up for her second Kapamilya series. This is slated to be released this year. Dizon’s participation in ‘Pira-Pirasong Paraiso’ was confirmed yesterday, May 1, at its first script reading.
Marking the historical first co-production series of ABS-CBN and TV5, ‘Pira-Pirasong Paraiso’ is to be starred by some of ABS-CBN’s fast-rising leading ladies, Charlie Dizon, Alexa Ilacad, Elisse Joson, and Loisa Andalio; and leading men, Ronnie Alonte, Joseph Marco, and KD Estrada.
The series is also Dizon’s sophomore Kapamilya drama series, after the Paulo Avelino and Janine Gutierrez-starrer, ‘Marry Me, Marry You.’
Earlier this year, Dizon clarified her status as a “freelance” artist, who can work with any TV network and production company she desires. She made such clarification in response to what she called a “basher”, who accused her of burning bridges with her former home network, GMA Network.
“Wag pong kuda ng kuda hindi mo alam ang real story. Wala akong na burn na bridge. I can work with anyone I want to work with. I can also choose not to work kung gusto ko. Wag masyadong nag MAMARUNONG. TY,” she told the accuser.
Also part of the upcoming ABS-CBN-TV5 series, are seasoned actors Art Acuña, Sue Prado, and Epy Quizon. Argel Saycon and Markus Patterson are also confirmed to join the cast. The series is to be helmed by Wild Flower’s director, Raymund B. Ocampo, under Dreamscape Entertainment’s production unit.
