Kapuso writer and creative consultant Suzette Doctolero taunted her bashers after being given the Dangal ng Panitikan award by the Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino.
In a tweet on April 28, Doctolero shared the news clip about her award with the caption, “Para sa aking mga bashers char lang! Haha.”

According to the news clip, Komisyon ng Wikang Pilipino has honored the Kapuso writer for her priceless contributions to the advancement of Philippine literature in the field of television through her ground-breaking Kapuso series like Encantadia, Amaya, Indio, Sahaya, Legal Wives, and Maria Clara at Ibarra.
Doctolero started her illustrious career in writing through Balintataw TV as an assistant to Angie Fero in 1988. During her stint at Balintataw TV, she was able to write romantic novels under the tutelage of award-winning novelist Lualhati Bautista. One of her notable works, Ako si Alex, Babae (I’m Alex, a Woman), was published by Anvil Publishing in 1993.
Meanwhile, in screenwriting, Doctolero started her through the PTV4 and Viva Television series Tierra Sanger in 1996.
It was followed by another Viva Television series, May Bukas Pa, which was aired on IBC 13 in 2000.
After that, she moved to the GMA Network in 2004, where she spent most of her writing career until now.
Her first Kapuso project was Te Amo Maging Sino Ka Man, directed by Lore Reyes and Kryss Adalia and starring Iza Calzado and Segundo Cernadas.
Other notable teledramas written by Doctolero include Bakekang in 2006, Daisy Siete in 2006, Impostora in 2007, My Husband’s Lover in 2013, The Rich Man’s Daughter in 2015, Alyas Robinhood in 2016, and the latest Voltes V: Legacy in 2023–are just some of her known body of works.
