On April 25, Glaiza de Castro affirmed she wanted to be ready physically, mentally, and spiritually before having kids.
At the media conference of Seed of Love, which LionhearTV covered, de Castro acknowledged the responsibility of having a child.
“Yes of course, napag-uusapan po namin. Pero, sa lahat po ng nagtatanong kung kailan kami magbe-baby, sinasabi ko po lagi na kailangan kong maging prepared, physically, mentally, spiritually, kasi nakikita ko din sa mga kaibigan ko, sa mga kapatid ko, na hindi talaga madali magkaroon ng anak.”
She also wanted her and her husband, David Rainey, to be financially secure before having kids.
The actress shared, “So pinaghahandaan pa po namin talaga, para pagdating ng araw na ‘yun na gusto ko na o dumating ‘yung time na gusto na talaga namin magbe-baby, parang settled na kami kasi ngayon marami pa kaming kailangan ayusin, like we just started a business this last February. Tapos ayun nga ‘yung time na ginagawa namin ‘yung show, busy din kami pareho.”
However, she confirmed that she hopes for two children.
Rainey and de Castro tied the knot on October 12, 2021, in a Celtic wedding in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. They had their second wedding in Zambales, Philippines recently.
As for her business, de Castro highlighted her hands-on commitment to her latest venture with a resort in Baler, Aurora.
The actress believes the new role she’s taking on is very challenging since this is her first time focusing on business. She shared that she delegated tasks to her staff. It is different this time since she allocates her time and effort to and from Manila to focus on the resort business.
Seed of Love stars de Castro, Mike Tan, Valerie Concepcion, Allan Paule, Bernadette Allyson, Tina Paner, Ashley Rivera, Alyana Asistio, and Boy 2 Quizon.
Under the direction of Ricky Davao, Seed of Love premieres May 8 on GMA Network’s Afternoon Prime.
