Kapamilya actress Julia Montes revealed Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards’ work ethics. The former exposed why many want to work with the latter.
On April 18, during the press conference for the film titled Five Break-ups and a Romance, Montes and Richards first time to appear together to the media.
Montes revealed her reaction when she learned she will be paired with Richards, saying she was honored to work with him.
“Noong nalaman ko po siyempre nagulat ako, hindi na ako magkukunwari, nagulat talaga ako with Al sabi ko, ‘Seriously ako po? Talaga ba? Ako?’ and then siyempre honored and happy ako to work with him.”
Even before finishing filming the movie, Montes stated she felt like she already knows a lot about Richards, saying it was because of Richards’ work ethic that many wants to work with him.
“Hindi pa kami masyadong matagal na nagsu-shoot pero na-appreciate ko that’s why Alden Richards is Alden Richards alam ko na kung bakit.”
Richards also shared his eagerness to work with Montes.
“Na-excite ako with the idea of me being paired with Julia kasi I know how brilliant of an actress she is.
“Kumbaga parang si Juls ‘yung isa sa mga leading ladies, parang sa mga naka-partner ko so far, na unang meeting pa lang as in wala ng pretentions, naramdaman ko ‘yung sincerity so hindi rin ako natakot to give my all in this film, kasi siguro napaka-importante kung paano ipinapakilala ng bawat isa ‘yung individuality nila bago kami mag-start.”
Directed by Irene Villamor, Five Break-ups and a Romance is under the production of GMA Pictures, Cornerstone Studios, and Myriad.
Richards is known for his movies Imagine You & Me (2016), Hello, Love, Goodbye (2019), which is considered the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, and The Road (2011).
In 2010, Montes worked together with Kathryn Bernardo on the hit Philippine TV drama series Mara Clara.
