Kapamilya star KD Estrada admitted that he was insecured about his looks before.
On April 11, Star Magic head Lauren Dyogi interviewed Estrada for Star Magic Celebrity Conversations.
This is where the actor opened up about his insecurities and even claimed that his looks may not be celebrity material.
“Actually I’m a bit shy to say it, [but] one of my insecurities is my looks, my face.
“Siyempre nakikita mo sa Instagram or Twitter, nakikita mo ‘yung standard ng lalaki, like what people like nowadays. And then the fact that I feel like I’m not living up to that standard.
“[I feel like] I am not handsome enough, I am not tall enough, something like that. I was like, maybe this (showbiz) is not for me,” said Estrada.
But the young actor later learned to love himself and be confident.
“It’s just gonna be me, I don’t have to compare myself.
“You have to love yourself. It starts with acceptance, knowing that you are unique and knowing that there’s only one you. You don’t have to change yourself at all, everyone is their own person,” he said.
KD Estrada was a former housemate in Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10. He was evicted in the Day 71 of the show.
Alexa Ilacad, who was also one of the celebrity housemates in PBB Season 10, is his love team partner.
They are currently part of the musical Walang Aray at the PETA Theater Center in Quezon City.
