On April 11, Viva artist Christine Bermas discussed her career shift from doing sexy films to more dramatic-driven projects.
At the media conference for her upcoming film Sapul, which LionhearTV covered, Bermas expressed gratitude for her gradually decreasing sexy roles after Scorpio Nights 3.Â
“Actually yeah, after I did Scorpio Nights, after niyan di ba, I did Relyebo, and then Nightbird so parang si Viva, parang binibigay na nila sa akin ‘yung direction na parang nagle-less ‘yung sexy scenes. So parang trina-try out nila ako sa action, sa drama, ganon. Which is thankful naman ako for that.”
She also noted that the change in her career is helping her prove her acting skills.
“So parang nale-lessen na talaga ‘yung mga sexy films na nagagawa ko, and mayroon akong chance na parang i-prove sa kanila na kaya ko din like in terms of drama, or ipakita ‘yung acting skills ko, hindi lang sa pagpapa-sexy.”
Director Reynold Giba attested to how Sapul would showcase Bermas’ dramatic talent.
He further assured viewers of the quality of acting they would see from Bermas in the film.
As for their film, Sapul stars Bermas, Kiko Estrada, Jeric Raval, Ina Alegre, Phoebe Walker, Richard Solano, Suzette Ranillo, and Simon Ibarra.Â
Under the direction of Reynold Giba, Sapul streams on Vivamax starting April 21.Â
