On March 30, Kapuso star Jillian Ward dedicated her role in ‘Abot Kamay na Pangarap’ to her dearly departed grandmother.
At a media conference for ‘Abot Kamay na Pangarap’ which LionhearTV covered, Ward said she didn’t expect the role in the daytime series.
The young acress shared, “Hindi ko po ine-expect na may show po na darating na ganito po kaganda sa akin, na pagkakatiwalaan po ako ng GMA, na ibibigay po siya ni God.”
Although she didn’t expect the role, Ward wanted to dedicate her portrayal of a medical professional to her late grandmother.
She revealed, “Pero alam po ninyo, bago po mamatay ang lola ko, pangarap po niya na magkaroon siya ng anak or apo na doctor, so hindi ko man po ‘yun mabibigay sa kaniya in real life, at least, kahit papaano po doctor ako sa isang show.”
She added, “So sa totoo lang po, sobrang grateful, sobrang blessed, kasi dinide-dedicate ko po ‘tong show sa late grandmother ko po. So, lahat po ng success na ‘to, wala sobrang na-overwhelm rin lang po ako and I know this is for her, sa mga tao pong mahal ko and this is for God. So, ‘yun lang po sobrang grateful ko lang po.”
Ward stars in the Kapuso afternoon series ‘Abot Kamay na Pangarap’ with Carmina Villaroel, Richard Yap, Dominic Ochoa, Dina Bonnevie, Pinky Amador, Andre Paras, Wilma Doesnt, Kazel Kinouchi, Jeff Moses, Dexter Doria, and many more.
‘Abot Kamay Na Pangarap,’ directed by LA Madridejos, airs Mondays through Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. aired on GMA Afternoon Prime.
