Motivational speaker Rendon Labador admitted that he was once sought after by FPJ’s Batang Quiapo to be part of the TV series.
On Friday, March 17, he shared via Facebook post a video of actor and director Coco Martin, who revealed that they planned to include the motivational speaker in their show, but it did not push through.
The Kapamilya actor also mentioned in the video that they intended to include Rendon’s sibling, but nothing happened.
When asked about his thoughts on the motivational speaker’s social media posts criticizing him, Martin responded gently,“Ako naman inuunawa ko na lang sila.”
In his “OPEN LETTER” to Martin, Labador confirmed everything Martin had revealed.
“OPEN LETTER TO COCO MARTIN!!!
“Nag follow up sila ng second time at gusto daw nila ako i include, tinawagan namin sila at nakausap.
Labador said he had too many other commitments to do something he thought had no direction.
Labador said he’s working on opening his sports bar/restaurant, admitting that the show’s management was professional in inviting him for an appearance twice.
Labador wrote.
He would prefer to continue to advocate for people who “have no voice.”
Huwag kang tanga.”
Labador emphasized that if Martin wants to hire him for his projects, it’s a different matter.
He should make an appointment with him and talk as a “businessman” and “man to man.”
Then lets talk about business,” he furthered.
Netizens appeared to enjoy the issue with Labador and the highly-rated program.

FPJ’s Batang Quiapo is currently the most-watched drama series in the country despite ABS-CBN lacking a franchise.
Miss not the action-packed scenes of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, an adaptation of Regal Films’ 1986 movie of the same title with the late Fernando Poe Jr. and the Diamond Star Maricel Soriano as lead stars back then. It airs on weeknights at 8 PM on various channels, including Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC, and ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube and Facebook page.
The program is also accessible to viewers within and outside the Philippines through iWantTFC and The Filipino Channel (TFC) on cable and IPTV.
