There will be no theaters nationwide opening today (October 5) for indie film “Siphayo” starring Luis Alandy, Joem Bascon and Nathalie Hart.
That was the announcement posted by talent manager Leo Dominguez on his Instagram account. He said, “ANNOUNCEMENT: The Showing of #Siphayo in theaters tomorrow Oct 5 is postponed indefinitely!”
When asked by a showbiz reporter the reason of postponement, he replied, “I dont know yet but im finding out now @iamnoelferrer”
“Siphayo,” which means dismay, tells the shocking story of a self-made farmer and rice mill owner (Allan Paule) who faces a rebellion by his two sons ((Luis Alandy and Joem Bascon) when he installs his young mistress (Nathalie Hart) as the new woman of the house immediately after the death of his wife (Maria Isabel Lopez). Complicating matters further is the fact that the older son is already living with his common-law wife (Elora Españo) in the same house.
According to some reviews, “Siphayo” could be Nathalie’s big break.
Aside from Luis, Joem and Nathalie, also in the cast are Maribel Lopez and Elora Españo. Written by Eric Ramos and produced by BG Productions International, “Siphayo” is rated R-26 without cuts by the MTRCB. The movie will have its world premiere in New York this month.
