On March 9, Kapuso actress Beauty Gonzalez voiced her thoughts on why people don’t have issues working with her.
At the media conference for her upcoming Magpakailanman episode, Takas sa Impiyerno, she highlighted how she comes to the set prepared while maintaining her professionalism.
“I can’t talk for myself, but maybe you can ask the people I work around. But, you know, I’m just being honest with myself– I go to my work prepared–[and ]I try to be professional as I can. There are days na hindi rin naman ako perfect, but I try [not] to bring my problems sa work.
“And I try to– I always put my mind na I’m so grateful to be here and doing this because this is my dream, and finally they’re making my dreams come true, and not everybody could experience this but hindi ako perfect.”
She admitted to having bad days but always tries and reach out to her co-workers to keep a positive atmosphere on set.
“Lumalabas ‘yung pagka-Bisaya ko, I have bad days too but you know, I make up for it all the time. It’s hard to explain myself, they would know, sila na lang tanungin ninyo, hindi rin ako perpekto din. Siguro pasalamat na lang ako, charming ako, nakakalusot ako minsan.
“Pero I try my best, and I reach out to everybody kasi mahirap kapag ikaw lang ‘yung– hindi ka nakikipag-reach out sa kanila, dapat as an actor, you reach out sa production, you reach out with your co-actors, para it would be healthy working space for everybody.”
She then stressed the value of introducing herself as a sign of reaching out to her colleagues.
“So ako rin mismo I introduce myself, I don’t wait for anybody to introduce me to someone, I go out my way, I ask their names, and sometimes, I admit na nakalimutan ko pangalan mo, pasensya ka na. I admit it, kasi tao rin lang naman ako. But I realize, I really reach out, ‘yun din ang naano ko.”
Most recently, Gonzalez worked under the direction of Gina Alajar and co-star Lucho Ayala in the Magpakailanman episode, Takas sa Impiyerno.
As for her shows as a Kapuso star, Gonzalez starred in various Kapuso series such as Stories from the Heart, I Can See You, The Fake Life, and Mano Po Legacy: Flower Sisters.
Currently, she’s working on the Kapuso series Stolen Life with Gabby Concepcion and Carla Abellana.
