Since it aired in September 2015, the series starring Coco Martin has kept its reign in national TV ratings and still holds the record for the highest nationwide rating for 2016 — 46.7% — which it got last February.
The series is not only a television success as it consistently tops the list of trending topics on Twitter and has garnered 11.7 million views on iWant TV.
With scenes reflecting the daily lives of Filipinos, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” has touched the hearts of Filipino families and has inspired them to become better citizens of the country.
It also continued to influence audiences nationwide, with the House of Representatives commending the ABS-CBN primetime series for its efforts to promote crime awareness and prevention among viewers. It even endorsed Coco Martin as “Celebrity Advocate for a Drug-Free Philippines.” In the House Resolution No. 358 filed last September 14, Rep. Ace Barbers commended the producers, cast, and crew of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” for courageously presenting relevant and controversial issues to viewers every night. He also recognized the show’s campaign “Ligtas Tips” where the lead stars give tips to viewers to prevent them from falling victims to syndicates.
Aside from the recognition given by the Congress, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” has also been recognized by several award-giving bodies for its stars’ stellar performances and the show’s top-caliber production. Some of which are Gawad Tanglaw, Anak TV Awards, Paragala Awards, and UmalohokJUAN Awards.
Thankful for the success of the ABS-CBN series, Coco has led several outreach programs to send love and help to Kapamilyas in need. Last January, he visited Brgy. 155 Zone 14 in Tondo and gave out several relief goods to residents devastated by a fire on New Year’s Day. He also sent out help to residents of Brgy. Irisan in Baguio last March.
In June, meanwhile, Coco led the launch of “Saludo sa Pamilyang Pilipino: Oplan Balik Eskwela 2016” where he donated school supplies and teaching aids to Paradise Farm Elementary School.
More explosive surprises await viewers as Cardo starts to investigate the bloody ambush of Verna (Agot Isidro) and Rachel (Belle Mariano), just after his heart-stopping bout with Eric (Paulo Avelino).
How will Cardo be able to find the suspect in the incident that happened to Verna and Rachel? What will Tomas (Albert Martinez) do to take revenge on the perpetrator?
