The award-winning actress and OPM icon seemed to hint at opening her doors to working with other TV stations.
After she aired her disappointment over young ABS-CBN stars, whom she alluded to be disrespectful of her, Cuneta took to Twitter [once more] to express her frustration.
This time, it seemed she talked about moving forward in her career outside her long-time home network, ABS-CBN.

“I have been and will always be a Kapamilya. I have been with ABS-CBN since 1988 when they were just rebuilding their station from the ground up after years of closure by the then-Philippine government,” she said, starting a series of tweets about how her career started and flourished with ABS-CBN.
She recounted her most memorable shows, including her self-titled talk show, Sharon, her The Voice stint, and her special participation in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, for which she thanked actor Coco Martin.
“ABS-CBN has too many stars now and we of the “old guard” have to give way. So while I will always be there when they need me and will always be grateful, I guess it is understandable that I for now consider myself a free agent,” she said in her tweet, today, March 5, 2023, where underscores her gratitude to ABS-CBN.
Cuneta believes that the time has finally come to explore other opportunities, such as job offers outside her home network.
“It’s time I opened myself up to other stations that may need my services, while always keeping my Kapamilya “duties,” if and when they come,” she shared.
The Megastar seemed to suggest opportunities are scarce in ABS-CBN, and she needs to find other places where she could continue working.
“One goes only where one is needed. I love you, ABS-CBN. My memory and loyalty are unquestionable. But a girl’s gotta work where she can and where she’s wanted, ” she continued in her tweet. She then said a parting message, reiterating her desire to still work with the company whenever her services are needed.
“See you again hopefully soon, whenever you may need me!” she added.
Cuneta notably left ABS-CBN in 2012 after appearing almost exclusively with the network for decades. She returned, however, two years later after reportedly buying out her 4-year contract with TV5.

Has she already decided to leave ABS-CBN? Does this mean the next she appears on TV will be on another network?
Let’s wait and see.
