It looks like Kris Aquino did not burn any bridges when she left ABS-CBN unlike any other big names who suddenly left the network and found it so hard to make a comeback.
But is there a chance Kris will return to ABS-CBN? That’s probably not likely. The Queen of All Media has not signed up with GMA Network, but her new co-manager, Tony Tuviera, is closely associated with ABS-CBN’s rival network.
After the presscon for Charo Santos Concio’s comeback movie “Ang Babaeng Humayo,” veteran columnist Ricky Lo had a chance to interview the ABS-CBN chief content officer.
When asked about her reaction on Kris’s transfer, Charo clarified that she has no ill feelings towards the former Kapamilya star and said only thank you words for being a Kapamilya for two decades. She said, “I wished her all the best and thanked her for all the years that she has worked for ABS-CBN and I acknowledged that she has given so much relief and happiness, and delighted our viewers.”
Just like the artists who left the network and return again like Aga Muhlach and Sharon Cuneta, Charo said that the doors of ABS-CBN will always be open for Kris if ever she decides in the future to return.
“Of course, the doors of ABS-CBN are always open to people who want to work with us again. But you wait for the stars to align for it to happen. It’s not the decision of just one person. And, yes, Kris is welcome back anytime,” she said.
