Entertainment reporter Ogie Diaz confirmed that actor Enrique Gil is no longer with ABS-CBN’s talent agency Star Magic.
In his vlog, ‘Showbiz Update’ on February 23, Diaz and his co-hosts talked about the recent career happenings for LizQuen (Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil).
Currently, Soberano is in the United States pursuing a career in Hollywood.
As Soberano is in the US, rumors spread that Gil will also follow and pursue a career in Hollywood.
Soberano and Gil are homegrown talents of the ABS-CBN network. The former has been a Kapamilya since 2012 while the latter has been with the Kapamilya network since 2008.
Diaz said that ABS-CBN did not let go of LizQuen as the network tried to pitch projects for them.
“Hindi nagkulang ang ABS-CBN kay Liza (Soberano) sa pitching. Sa kanila ni Enrique Gil. Laging nag pi-pitching ang ABS-CBN pero wala silang inaaprubahan,” he said.
Diaz revealed that LizQuen was offered the role in the supposed adaptation of the Korean drama ‘It’s Okay To Be Not Okay’. However, the two did not accept the project.
The talent manager then shared that Gil would have a solo movie project.
When Diaz’s co-host, Mama Loi asked if Gil was still a part of Star Magic, Diaz said, “Wala na. Wala na sa Star Magic si Enrique Gil.”
Diaz also said that Gil is currently under another management.
Meanwhile, Enrique Gil recently hosted NBA All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah.
