After just six months on the air, is ALLTV already backing down from TV competition?
According to a PEP article published on February 3, some of the station-produced programs on ALLTV Channel will take a break on air.
Some of the recently launched ALLTV programs during its soft launch in September 2022 included: Wowowin hosted by Willie Revillame, Toni hosted by Toni Gonzaga, and the morning talk show M.O.M. (Mhies on a Mission) hosted by Mariel Rodriguez, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Ciara Sotto.
Based on the same article, ALLTV management has already informed their talents about their plan to cancel their shows; thus, one of the programs has already taped its last episode.
The management, however, assured that they would still pay the talents their talent fees as stipulated on their contracts.
ALLTV is the television station owned by the Villars, which took over the frequency previously held by ABS-CBN.
Since its soft launch on September 13, 2022, the TV network has struggled to get a good audience share.
Based on the most recently available rating report, ALLTV programs failed to match the more established TV networks, GMA Network and TV5.
On September 22, 2022, Nielsen NUTAM People Rating report, ALLTV programs led by Wowowin only managed to get 0.2 percent ratings, too little to enter the Top 30 rating chart.
No rating numbers were released for Toni and M.O.M., primarily because these shows didn’t even reach a 0.1 percent rating.
Meanwhile, with the cancellation of its station-produced TV shows, only re-runs of classic ABS-CBN and TV5 teleserye will remain airing on the ALLTV channel.
