Rumors about Jane de Leon’s difficulty of ironing out her schedules with Regine Velasquez has resulted the non-participation of the latter in the finale of Mars Ravelo’s Darna.
On January 24, via Cristy Ferminute, Cristy Fermin and Romel Chika discussed how Velasquez was supposed to appear in the series finale.
Fermin said.
“And speaking of Darna ‘Nay sa finale ng Darna hinahanap daw nila ang lahat ng gumanap ng Darna at isasama raw sa finale?” Romel asked.
“Ganu’n?
Velasquez appeared as Darna in the 2003 remake of Captain Barbell, which starred Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr. and Ogie Alcasid, directed by Mac Alejandre.
According to an official statement released by the producer of the series on Friday, January 27, Vealsquez’s appearance didn’t push through due to conflicting schedules between the lead star and Asia’s Songbird.
