Political blogger Mocha Uson reacted to a fake report circulating online that she has met United States President Barack Obama on the second day (September 7) of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit happened in Vientiane, Laos.
In a statement posted in her verified Facebook Page with over 4M followers, Mocha clarified that there’s no truth to the news that she scored alengthy and exclusive meeting with the most powerful man in the world.
She shared the article on her Facebook Page and posted her reaction.“HINDI PO TOTOO ANG KUMAKALAT NA PICTURE NA ITO. Ganito ka-deseperado ang mga media blogger. Gagawa ng kwento para lang kumita ang isang blog. Sa lagay na yan nag-aral pa kayo ng journalism ha?,” Mocha said.
Mocha was referring to the article from the satirical news website So, What’s News?, a local satire news site known for its hilarious headlines and contents.
Three hours after the link was posted on her page, Mocha posted another reaction, “I know it’s a satire blog. Their intention to get more views by mocking me is such a desperate move.”
