The known Toni Gonzaga impersonator held his concert online the night the former PBB host staged her 20th-anniversary concert at the Big Dome.
The online world was abuzz on January 20 as multimedia star Toni Gonzaga held her long-awaited anniversary concert at the Big Dome. Titled I Am Toni–was not only highlighted by the excitement of her fans, who witnessed her as she performed some of her greatest hits live, but also by those, who apparently, was her ‘former’ fans.
The hashtag #PaalamToniGonzaga shot up to the top of the trending topics on Twitter hours before the concert, with many recalling their fondest fangirling and fanboying moments of Gonzaga. On TikTok Live, however, another concert took the netizens by storm.
AC Soriano, known for impersonating several personalities through viral spoofs and parodies, similarly dominated the trending topics that day. Among the personalities–the social media personality impersonated was Toni Gonzaga, hence one of his parody names, Otin G. On Twitter, the hashtag #IAmOtin, reached the no.1 spot among the top trends nationwide.

On TikTok, Otin G’s virtual concert coincided with Gonzaga’s physical concert at the Araneta Coliseum, where at least 17,000 people reportedly attended. Netizens were quick to note that Otin G’s virtual event drew a much larger audience, peaking at around 27,000 concurrent viewers before the live ended. Total viewers also noticeably hit 71k by the end of the stream and continued to rise as of writing.
Through the live, Otin G was able to raise funds, which he promised to double and donate to the Home for the Golden Gays, a nonprofit organization.

Like Gonzaga’s concert, Otin invited several of his friends to join his ‘dogshow’ virtual concert.
Popular social media personalities Mimiyuuh and Sassa Gurl were among those who joined Otin in his virtual karaoke event. As expected, he performed several of Toni Gonzaga’s viral hits, including Sia’s Titanium.
