GMA Network’s flagship primetime newscast, 24 Oras, started the new year on top of the TV ratings leaderboard.
According to the most recent rating reports from Nielsen NUTAM People Survey, 24 Oras remained the overall number one program in the country.
On Monday, January 2, the Kapuso newscast scored a 16.3 percent rating, easily beating rival news program TV Patrol‘s 2.3%.
On the next day, Tuesday, January 3, 24 Oras, again topped the rating chart with a 3.1 percent increase to 19.4 percent, beating TV Patrol, which scored 3 percent.
On Wednesday, January 4, the Mel Tiangco and Vicky Morales-anchored newscast slightly went down to 16.2 percent, slashing 3.2 percent from its previous day’s rating.
The following day, Thursday, January 5, 24 Oras, moved up, adding 3.5 percent to 19.7 percent.
Meanwhile, 24 Oras ended its first week of 2023 on January 6 with a significant drop to 15.9 percent, decreasing 3.8 percent from its previous day’s score.
The news program, however, remained the undisputed overall number-one program and source of news and information in the country in the first week of 2023.
