On December 10, actor Allen Dizon addressed people who expected him to join award-winning projects.
At the media conference for the Vivamax movie, Dizon asserted that he feels uneasy about people’s expectations.
The actor expressed, “Ako nga minsan nahihiya ako, parang masyado na ata silang nag-eexpect sa akin, alam mo ‘yun? Lahat na lang ng role na gagampanan ko dapat challenging, dapat ang role ko award-winning.”
He noted that instead of letting people’s expectations affect him, he focuses on his craft and how he treats his co-workers.
He stated that the more he remains in show business, the more he appreciates his art and the people he works with.
Dizon explained,“Kumbaga, ngayon pa lang nagsi-sink in na ganon na ako katagal sa showbiz, which is parang lagi parin nag-iistart pagdating sa mga pelikula, pagdating sa mga teleserye, pag-first day, may kaba pa rin, pag first day, kailangan ready ka sa role mo, sa character mo, so same thing naman, wala namang pinagkaiba sa mga ginagawa ko before, sa mga ginagawa ko ngayon.”
He then cited that the only thing that had changed about him over the years was his relaxed demeanor on set.
Dizon is known for his roles in Magkakabaung (2014), Bomba (2017) and Iadya Mo Kami (2016). Currently, the award-winning actor has 45 awards under his belt. He began his acting career in 1998 and has been in the showbiz industry for 25 years.
Dizon, Sunshine Cruz, Karl Aquino, and Angelica Cervantes star in his upcoming film, An Affair to Forget.
Louie Ignacio directs the Vivamax film, which streams on December 23.
