It was not the first time that the Kapuso writer pleaded with the netizens to watch MCAI on TV.
Previously, Doctolero posted several tweets, appealing to the public to go back to TV viewing.
On Thursday, November 24, Doctolero tweeted “Totoo, mas malaking bagay at suporta kung balik TV muna. Para nyo nang awa.”

It was followed by another tweet on Monday, November 28, again urging people to watch their show on TV while thanking them for their support.
Please, please, please. Hehe.”

And on Thursday, December 1, the Kapuso writer reiterated her call for the viewers to tune in to television instead of streaming the show online.
Salamat! “

Doctolero’s continued appeal may have something to do with MCAI’s downward rating trend in November, where it averaged below 13%.
On Friday, November 11, MCAI scored its lowest rating since its pilot at 12.3%. In the following week, on November 18, it again scored below 13% at 12.6; and on Thursday, November 24, the Kapuso historical fantasy series registered a rating of 12.9%.
Maria Clara at Ibarra used to score an average of 15% before getting traction from online viewers.
