GMA Network finally launched their newest boy group named ‘One Up’ to the press last week. One Up consists of 10 male members, majority came from GMA Network’s talent searches including “Starstruck,” “Popstar Kids,” “To The Top,” and some came from “Eat Bulaga” talent segments.
Nikki Co, Kevin Sagra, Jay Arcilla, Prince Clemente, Joemarie Nielsen, and Arjan Jimenez were “Starstruck” alumni while Ralf King was a “Popstar Kids” contestant, Dave Bornea and Yasser Marta were from “Eat Bulaga’s” Mister Pogi and Spogify respectively while Brent Valdez was the only member who came from the recently concluded boy band member search “To The Top.”
Since their last boyband Top One Project aka T.O.P, from their talent search “To The Top,” failed to at least make an impact in showbiz, GMA Network obviously formed this new group to at least rival the hottest boygroup formed in “It’s Showtime” called Hashtags.
The group is led by “Pinoy Big Brother” alumni Jimboy Martin and adult housemate Zeus Collins with Tom Doromal, Jameson Blake, McCoy De Leon, Paulo Angeles, Jon Lucas, Ryle Santiago, Ronnie Alonte, Nikko Nativida and Luke Conde. The group is really doing well not just by group but also individually. Technically, Hashtags consisting of 11 members are all equally good-looking and of course talented. Majority of them have potential to be the next leading men in TV or in movies.
