Idol Philippines Season 2 third placer Kice admitted that he almost left showbiz.
In an interview with Magandang Buhay on December 1, the singer-songwriter said that he had many haters. He even reached the point where he thought of leaving showbiz.
But he said there are still people who supported him which made him push through.
“Actually there are so many haters talaga, but at the same time there are lot of nice people out there and I just decided to really divert ‘yung focus ko to the people that are supporting me, who love me and they are always there behind my back. So, I really appreciate them so much.”
After his stint in Idol Philippines, he became a performer on ASAP. He then went on with his acting career via the upcoming series Linlang.
“I just feel super grateful po kasi acting wasn’t in my real plan, it’s supposed to be in the future pa after I did my music. Pero it’s here now and I want to grab the opportunity and you know probably improve my self in this aspect of entertainment.”
Linlang will star Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino, JM de Guzman and Maricel Soriano. It will premiere on television this coming 2023.
The series will be directed by Jojo Saguin and Manny Palo and produced by Dreamscape Entertainment. Its teaser was released in October, and already had over 170k views on YouTube.
He will also work with Anji Salvacion on a film. He said that the young singer has a likable personality.
“Si Anji po I got to work with her sa workshop and it was the first time. She’s really a nice person talaga. I’m still getting to know her and she’s all-in-all like a really smart, loving individual. I met her mom din it was really fun.”
